Comedy King Dolphy Died

Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr. also known by his screen name as Dolphy died July 10, 2012 and pronounced dead at 8:34pm, he was 83. He is known for being the Filipino's Comedy King because of his works on stage, radio, television and movies.

Dolphy was rushed to Makati Medical Center ICU on June 9, 2012 because of complaints on breathing. The whole month he was there he undergone several dialysis and blood transfusions and suffered with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.


Dolphy was born in July 25, 1928. He first started dancing on theater when he was 17. When he was 19, he had his first movie break in the movie with Fernando Poe, Sr. in Dugo at Bayan (I Remember Bataan) and from there continued to grow to what he is known today, as Dolphy King of Comedy.

Rest in peace Dolphy.
